While our paints are certified non-toxic and fume-free, they are not FDA (Food & Drug Administration) approved. Paint specifically formulated for use on the skin needs to be FDA approved to account for any allergies a person can have which, of course, varies from person to person. Face Paint is normally left on the skin for hours, so all the ingredients need to tested just like make up - most arts & crafting paint don't have this certification.
